Synopsis
Tod Lending's inner-city documentary focuses on the Collins family, residents of a crime-filled Chicago ghetto. When the eldest Collins son, Terrell, is killed by one of his schoolmates, the family tries to channel the tragedy into making positive changes in their lives. While the determined young Nickole attempts to get into college, other relatives contend with their own challenges, all intent on pulling themselves away from their violent environment.
