Long before meeting Shrek, Puss in Boots, just named a hero for saving a woman from a charging bull, is run out of town on suspicion of bank robbery, even though the real villain is Puss' friend, Humpty Dumpty. Though there is still animosity between them, Puss and Humpty reunite to steal a goose that lays golden eggs. Joining them for the adventure of nine lifetimes is notorious cat burglar, Kitty Softpaws.

Puss in Boots kind of surprised me. Far more witty then I expected it to be, nicely animated and featuring a charming story of forgiveness and redemption that belies its Shrek inspired fractured fairy tale roots, this movie more than won me over.

What kids will get from it is plenty of fairly outrageous but not often witty fun with fairytale elements blended into a kind of latterday spaghetti western. For the rest of us, there is plenty of nice visual detail.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

Worst of the Shrek franchise, ever. The story doesn't feel like a Shrek movie and rips off Blood Brothers, the twists looked completely obvious and the idea of a Shrek prequel on paper sounded like an interesting concept, but the execution was poor. This was never meant to be made, it was only made because DreamWorks wanted a Shrek 5, but they supposedly cancelled it in favour of this due to Shrek the Third's reception. That was until Shrek 5 was brought back by DreamWorks, but bottom line... I didn't enjoy Puss in Boots for a single second.
