Stephen Garrett Time Out Rated: 2/5 Nov 17, 2011 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times Modest to a fault, the introverted family drama Tehilim circles an unsolved mystery and unresolved emotions. Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 10, 2008 Full Review J. Hoberman Village Voice Indifferently shot and only competently acted, Tehilim derives its emotional force from the inchoate spiritual torment that the older son suffers. Apr 8, 2008 Full Review Emanuel Levy EmanuelLevy.Com Despite an interesting premise and a good background (contempo Jerusalem), this is a dull, frustrating family melodrama, the weakest of the 3 Israeli films shown in 2007 Cannes Film Festival; the other two are Jellyfish and The Band's Visit. Rated: C- Feb 13, 2008 Full Review Brandon Judell CultureCatch The cast is superb, the direction flawless, and the film unmistakably consequential. Audience Member A sleeper, but in the reverse sense. Everything was expected and nothing was delivered. I slept through at least 30 minutes and apparently missed nothing. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member vu sur Arte dans la nuit du lundi 27 au mardi 28 juin 2011 de 1h50 à 3h30 ! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member A void filled by nothing. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting premise, but it moved slowly and never seemed to lead anywhere. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Normally I don't mind movies without a complete ending. But this one still keeps distance from the audience outside of the country that I just don't understand why that's the entire movie. There are some engaging parts though.
