John DeFore The Hollywood Reporter Gla Babluani's English-language remake of his French debut loses the source's gritty, mysterious gloom. Oct 28, 2011 Full Review V.A. Musetto New York Post "13'' is Gela Babluani's American remake of his successful 2005 Georgian-language film "13 Tzameti.'' He should have left well enough alone. Rated: 1.5/4 Oct 28, 2011 Full Review Alison Willmore Movieline This is a lumpy, dumb, suspenseless thing that sometimes scarcely feels finished. Rated: 3.5/10 Oct 27, 2011 Full Review John Ferguson Radio Times While Babluani successfully ratchets up the tension during the chilling roulette sequences, the dull subplots cause the story to flag badly outside of the competition. Rated: 2/5 Sep 22, 2022 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews The anticlimactic final half hour, which is capped off with an oddly (and needless) downbeat finish, cements the film's place as a curiously half-baked piece of work... Rated: 2/4 Jan 27, 2012 Full Review Marshall Fine Hollywood & Fine A one-trick movie, with prefab suspense but also prefab plotting to undercut said suspense. michael p This is a gripping story of underground betting of a grotesque nature. If you can handle the gore it has a very good story and a fantastic ending. Not sure what the others expected. If you like a bizarre storyline and well known actors then you may like this. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/25 Full Review Neil J I’m so confused! This is beyond bad… how did this get made? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/25 Full Review R M I was entertained. Some history of this would be great. Like who organizes this. It would have been nice to know a little more of the characters that were betting. Over all I liked it Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/25 Full Review Lori B First of all I thought the dad in the hospital was Jason. So it started out really confusing. This is a pretty dumb movie. Good cast with lots of potential that was completely wasted. I would have loved to have seen something done with the player number 3. I feel like every actor in this movie simply took it for the paycheck. Just hope the crew made a decent wage from this film. The only thing this film was good for is the fact that it provided jobs. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/04/25 Full Review J. B Awful, just awful. The ending made it even less worth watching. Give me my 90 minutes back. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/11/24 Full Review KB B This movie was very intense and disturbing. I also really hated the ending. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/25/24 Full Review Read all reviews
