Pieter-Jan Van Haecke Psychocinematography 18×2 Beyond Youthful Days proves that the tropes of the romance genre can still be exploited in a refreshing and emotionally satisfying manner. Jun 25, 2024 Full Review Mark Schilling Japan Times I found the film’s last act formulaic, right down to the swelling violins. But “18×2 Beyond Youthful Days” also illustrates why its two leads have won acting awards, a slew in the case of Hsu. Rated: 2/5 May 30, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Reyan I The cinematography and acting and the story pitching is really awesome and heartwarming. And it is more intresting and somewhat shocking when you get to know that this is based on real incidents... This movie deserve more than 5 satrs Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/08/24 Full Review Johnson M We should promote more cultural exchange through art like this movie. I like the ordinary background of the main character. He faces a common struggle to express love that can resonate with a lot of young Asian boys. On the other hand, I like the ambitious character of the Japanese girl who pursues her clear dream of travelling alone. I think this kind of movie is needed in a world where people tend to stay in the own bubbles. So I start to like the character over the movie. Something that is thought-provoking for me personally is the concealment of her illness. In the Western culture, it’s okay to be honest and admit vulnerability to someone you love. It’s part of the romantic journey to overcome challenges together. On the other hand, in the Eastern culture, it’s more common to shy away from the weaknesses that bother someone as if it’s to protect the other people. It’s an untold and yet bittersweet feeling that is unique in the East. I hope to more movies that foster cultural exchanges like this. The movie wouldn’t be the same if the two characters are from the same country. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/17/24 Full Review ritvik k 18x2 beyond youthful days is a bitter sweet movie. In starting you'll think that yeah it's predictable he lost his company so he may go back home and try to get back together with her past love. But it's more than that, it's not just a movie it's a journey that you don't wanna miss. Give it a try and maybe you end up finding your dream. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/22/24 Full Review Mean Lux P What started doesn't matter here I think but the ending and plot twists are joyful. Nothing surprising in terms of directing. Beautiful story bringing audience from three perspectives. He is better with writing than directing in this film. A good romantic movie for young and old movie goers to enjoy. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/19/24 Full Review Read all reviews
