While I’m okay with coming of ages movies, I like there to be a strong, hard kernel of honesty at the core of the story. Director Nick Richey seems to agree, and 1-800-HOT-NITE is a film that calmly gazes at kids who might be falling through the cracks.

1-800-Hot-Nite is surprisingly heartfelt and realistic. While it is not the comedic odyssey the opening suggests, don’t let that deter you from checking it out. Thanks to the amazing cast and Richey’s clear, distinct vision, it works on many levels.

This movie reminded me of my childhood and running around town with my furends. It is crazy to see the things kids do and don't talk about with their best friends. I feel like this movie did a great job of that. The story feels real and compelling. The actors did a fantastic job. I love the look of the film it makes it feel very down to earth and real. This is added to my favorite list, instant classic.

Once I saw how few reviews this movie had I created an account just so I could, hopefully, keep someone from missing it. I put this movie on with the intention of it being mostly in the background while I got some things done, but it didn't take long for it to pull me in. I now have 90 extra minutes of work to do, but it was worth it. Watching this movie reminded me of the first time I saw the movie Kids - it was captivating and real in ways that you don't often see. This isn't quite as raw as Kids, but I thought it was even more emotional. Also, much like Kids, I think we'll be seeing a lot more of some of these actors, especially the lead. It might not seem like it in its first few minutes, but stick with it. Once the movie finds its footing, it'll take you on a journey you'll be glad you went on.

A beautiful film written and directed by Nick Richey. Lucky to have my client Gerrison Machado & Mylen Bradford in it. When I first received the script & started reading it I knew this was the type of film that I would want my actors to be a part off.

Could be because of budget but this movie is not good, kind of boring. Feels like a student film with the one main kid the only professional in the production. I watched because the other reviews here were good but I suspect they are all fake reviews from friends and families from the production now.
