Audience Member There have been a few movies done in this style over the years. This, however, is different from those as this is of a darker nature for the duration of the film. Without the gimmick it's just a perverted and gratuitous filth fest that uses the gimmick loosely and too conveniently to justify it's own perversions and make the viewer think this is something new and smarter than it is. Pretty trashy story but it does put you in an odd situation of feeling bad for the starred dollar bill as you want it to get out of the vicious cycle it is trapped in. This is just a bad use of the gimmick, and it's not because of the situations it is applied to. The larger story makes the dollar bill gimmick pointless, the misused dollar bill gimmick makes the story pointless. There are much better films that use this gimmick more effectively. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member This was sickening! Trailer was good against evil. Good and Evil was evil. Your the problem with society. Hollywood. That was the sickest shit I ever saw. You should be ashamed. Your putting shit in kids minds. I'm disgusted at this movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member You spend so much time and effort following the buck, that the main story gets drowned in the obscurity presented by all of the vignettes. Poorly directed and edited, which leads to a confusing mash of story lines that never get worked through. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member The bill in question becomes the physical manifestation of the various societal ills facing us today, as the events that surround it demonstrate in such garish detail: police brutality, drug addiction, violence against women. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Okay, the rating is too high, but still a good movie, with a need of tying the pieces of the narrative. The narrative is not good enough, the acting is poor. Two brilliant things, the absence and frail music, the atmosphere of boredom throughout the movie depicts the condition of both the main the character and the town as a whole. I like the performance of the main character. I think this could be among top 10 movies of 2017. I know it's too generous but haven't seen much this year. What else to give? Wonder Woman? Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times Dufils vividly captures the locale's seedy, swampy vibe, with its dive bars, shabby homes, ubiquitous convenience stores and underground fight spots. If only there were a more compelling, engaging narrative to match. Sep 20, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews
