John B Interesting story and fun to imagine what the world might be like in the 2040 as the narrator plans ahead for his daughter's future Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/25/23 Full Review DreamWeaver Films & t Incredibly hopeful film that can motivate us in making many of the suggested changes. He has kids and he would like for them to have a future--something too many people are putting their heads in the sand about because the reality of the situation is too disturbing, if we let ourselves look...but not if we do something about it! This film says, "What are we waiting for? Let's DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! " Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/06/23 Full Review Fergus R It's a decent film but it is slightly held back by some bad effects but overall good Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/21/22 Full Review Audience Member The main environmental message within this documentary is that in order to have a more cleaner and better future for our planet, it is important to find solutions now and to take them. One of the solutions Damon provides in this documentary is that if cheaper home energy systems are combined with more people demanding clean energy from their politicians, there's a higher chance for many countries to be close to 100% renewable by 2040. This documentary provides a very optimistic approach to the solutions that we can take at this moment, to create a wonderful future for the next generation. Damon urges that these solutions are not impossible. In fact, they are existing inventions and projects that, if widely embraced, it may revolutionize the world. It is a must see documentary so that both our current and future generations can learn about the right steps that we need to take in order to save our beautiful home. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoyed watching 2040. There are definitely some sobering moments in it, as the climate and biodiversity crises that we're facing are, frankly, quite terrifying and there's no getting away from that. However, this movie is really hopeful and shows that there are solutions out there - especially if we work together to make things happen and stop taking our planet for granted. I felt uplifted after watching this and wanted to get out there and make a difference. It's a gentle film that will hopefully make people think. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent climate science movie. Don't believe low score (just a bunch of climate change deniers). Eye opening for people of all ages. I'll be using it in my high school math class. Lovely gift from a father to his young daughter. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Read all reviews
