Audience Member Was there a plot or did they just think a natural disaster was a great idea? That is the true mystery when watching this film. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/01/20 Full Review Audience Member Thin plot, slow pace, and a stretched-out ending. McDowell feels out of place here. Silly elements like the baby are pretty outrageous, The thrills are about as suspenseful as a pencil falling off a table. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Not a bad movie, really. Not a whole lot happened for atleast the first half, and at times it got quite confusing. You can also really tell it's a low-budget film. But to me, it is the little things that make up for this, such as the dark, post-apocalyptic atmosphere, the very cool female killer in the black costume, whom for whatever reason was only shown in slow motion, Malcolm McDowell as a drunken captain, the romantic dancing scene at the end, and of course the phrase "Mayday, baby, mayday!" (As cheesy as it was it made me laugh quite a bit - You'd have to see it to understand why, but it has something to do with a baby... navigating the ship.) I liked the ending, which I didn't understand one bit, but I think for this is leaves on a mysterious note. I think I can get some clarity with another viewing one day, though... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A rather dull piece of cheese, the cinematic equivalent of a bland chunk of mass-market Colby.
