Peter Sobczynski RogerEbert.com What separates this film from others of its type is the highly specialized manner in which writer-director Sebastien Betbeder has elected to recount the lives and loves of a group of young Parisians ... Rated: 3.5/4 Jun 6, 2014 Full Review Stephen Holden New York Times The movie reminds you with a series of gentle nudges that whether you want it to or not, the future happens. Jun 5, 2014 Full Review Melissa Anderson Village Voice The film strongly evokes the spirit and playfulness of the Nouvelle Vague ... Jun 3, 2014 Full Review Vadim Rizov Filmmaker Magazine Light on insight but commendably detailed about its milieu, 2 Autumns gets points for an inclusive cinephilia equally enthused about Judd Apatow’s Funny People and Eugène Green’s The Living World. Jan 25, 2023 Full Review Mike D'Angelo The Dissolve In general, imagine some classic Woody Allen devices, but amped up to the point where they dominate the movie rather than providing intermittent stylized distance. Rated: 3/5 Jun 5, 2014 Full Review Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat Spirituality & Practice An innovative and engrossing French romantic comedy. Rated: 4/5 Jun 5, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member The nicest aspect of this movie is that characters have a live they share and want to enjoy together, and another they live mentally, often simultaneously, as if they needed both experiences to find their purpose. The characters are very appealing, and very well played, especially the two leads (Arman and Amelie) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member What at first appears to be a French take on an American sort of rom.com quickly establishes itself as a sort of ode to La Nouvelle Vague. Carefully constructed and offering a story of normal people who are not simply falling in love -- they are learning to accept the sadness of life with as much hope as they can muster. It is refreshing, bittersweet and believable. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Couldn't get into the documentary interview style of telling the story. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved the pace - kept me wanting more. ð???ð??? Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member A lot of structure and style, which work pretty well at bringing the audience into the lives of a group of amiable characters. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Unusual techniques abound in this French film, with most of the characters taking turns narrating to the camera. Although technically a comedy, it's a fairly serious look at 20- and 30-somethings trying to get a grip on their lives with decidedly mixed results.
