      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Formulaic and often jarringly violent, 2 Guns rests its old-school appeal on the interplay between its charismatic, well-matched stars.

Aidan B Dull and pretty forgettable, "2 Guns" has its moments, but the cast and premise behind it promise a better film than is actually delivered. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/22/24 Full Review Dev F If Wahlberg could tone down the frat boys vibes just a bit, I would give it an extra half-star. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/04/24 Full Review Ogooluwa A Just raw, absolute fun. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/21/23 Full Review jwcdood 2 GUNS is lightweight fare that tries to be cute but is only stupidly silly at best. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/17/23 Full Review Anderson O Smart and sharply written quips, funny in moments, a lot of humor lands. But in action packed, military espionage, 2 guns works well with duo Denzel Washington and Mark Walberg. Paula Patton nearly steals the show for the full on action thrill heist of this comicbook adaptation. Overall great casting as well. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/16/23 Full Review Diana M Bobby and Stig are two criminals that plan to rob a small Texas border bank where a Mexican drug lord, (Papi) keeps his money in a safety deposit box. They figure about $3 million, but they are shocked to discover they have stolen $43 million! So whose money is this? "The bank was a set up" - Bobby Well that is not all, Bobby and Stig have both been lying to each other. Nether is who they claim to be. "Now you're making me not be able to trust you" - Stig Enter Earl. Earl is CIA and he has come for the $43 million and will kill whoever gets in his way. "You ripped off the CIA" - Earl Well things really go sideways when everyone gets involved, the Mexican Cartel, DEA, US Navy SEALS, and they all are after them and the$43 million. The lines are blurred. Who is the good guys and who is the bad guys? This goes way over their heads and they must team together and figure this out. "What, like we are working together?" - Stig 2 Guns is so much better than I expected. There is not many frames wasted, just a really good fast paced, to-the-point, story with turns and twists around every corner. Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington make a great team and a really fun and very entertaining popcorn movie. Cast - Mark Wahlberg, Denzel Washington, Paula Patton, Bill Paxton, James Marsden, Fred Ward, Edward James Olmos Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online ... it's not that bad. But it ain't good either. Rated: D+ Sep 6, 2017 Full Review Larushka Ivan-Zadeh metro.co.uk Movie rule 12: Mistrust anything bearing a '2' in its title - particularly when it's not a sequel. But 2 Guns proves a totally unexpected exception. Rated: 3/5 Sep 5, 2017 Full Review Wesley Morris Grantland Washington and Wahlberg have a good time robbing banks and blowing up buildings and barreling through military security checkpoints and double-crossing people and shooting each other because none of it really means anything. Jan 3, 2014 Full Review Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand Don’t be fooled by the title: there are hundreds of guns and bazillions of spent rounds in this fast-moving action flick. Feb 21, 2023 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review 2 Guns is conventional, and the sense of humor is somewhat caustic, but ultimately the mild chuckles and fast-paced exploits of Beans and Stig provide a lazy diversion the viewer will instantly forget once the credits start to roll. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 30, 2022 Full Review Kip Mooney College Movie Review Despite not owning an ounce of originality, 2 Guns more than makes up for it through the chemistry of Washington and Wahlberg.
