Alexandra Heller-Nicholas AWFJ.org 30 Miles from Nowhere is the perfect combination of familiar, comfortable genre codes and conventions given a fun twist, resulting in thoroughly enjoyable viewing experience. Feb 17, 2019 Full Review Sarah Cartland Caution Spoilers A witty ensemble comedy-thriller. The excellent cast plays it completely straight, while director Koller ladles on the horror tropes. Writer Kofoed has a keen ear for 30-something reunions and their underlying bile. Rated: 3/5 Apr 10, 2019 Full Review Kellie Haulotte The Abstract It's a film that is shot simplistic with still a pretty unnerving plot. Rated: 4/5 Mar 8, 2019 Full Review Deirdre Crimmins HighDef Digest 30 Miles from Nowhere tends to suffer from issues common in tiny-budgeted horror films. Rated: B Mar 5, 2019 Full Review Niall Browne Movies in Focus When you see enough movies you get into the rhythm of certain genres and it's often easy to guess what's going to happen next. I can honestly say that director Caitlin Koller's 30 Miles From Nowhere was a total surprise Rated: 3.5/5 Feb 24, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

David D One of the worst movies I have seen. Stupid plot. Terrible acting. Terrible. Nothing scary about this. This is one of those times I wonder about the other ratings here. It was almost like it was trying to be a spoof, but it was not. Did I mention the terrible acting? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/15/23 Full Review Lagrange P Reasonably well put together with some good but also some decidedly poor performances and uneven direction. The premise and its inevitable twist could be interesting and sort of fun if you don't figure it out almost immediately, which will be difficult given its ultimate predictability. Even with its flaws, I enjoyed it all the way until the end, at which point it completely fell apart beyond any possibility of suspension of disbelief, and left me feeling like my investment of time had been completely wasted. The end could have been used to tie up the plot and make some interesting statements. Instead, and although I think the filmmakers believe they're either making some sort of social commentary or leaving us wondering whether it's actually "the end," it makes no sense whatsoever and will likely only frustrate genre fans. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/29/23 Full Review bill p Good psycho thriller, slow moving for a long time and somewhat predictable. Still, except for a couple of absurdities it works. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Can't unsee this wish I could Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Half the movie was an irritating mess of people complaining and sexual tension. The other half of the movie was gripping, but still predictable. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review alvin a Extremely well done and I'm sorry to say this but it is one of those rare films that is good until the very end and a surprise twist totally blows up in the wrong way. Completely illogical ending for the series of events. Movies have to have some degree of probable reality for the plot to hold but with today's CSI, polygraph, the complete filming of all the events and all the circumstances there's no way the outcome would have had had the guy they arrested when they did. Everyone would have been in the nearest police head quarters and hospital areas recovering from the gun shot wounds and con cushions and shock . And a massive investigation of multiple local and Federal and State agencies would be there. Very bad ending that I was expecting to be a good comic horror. Instead a very big thud hits the screen as the credits roll. Sorry for the great cast. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
