Audience Member Lovely little movie which portrays a universal teenage experience. Bit of cliche ending and lacks climax but a good night in rental. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Play it Again, Sam >> It's no Woody Allen masterpiece, but it's a light, comical film that's worth a rental. Zero Day >> Intriguing, gritty, and realistic film about two teenage boys planning a school shooting by making home videos of their steps and procedures. Ben X >> Watched at Seattle International Film Festival, this is an amazing film with imagination, humor, and heart and isn't condescending to its characters. May remind some of Donnie Darko although it is definitely its own story. 32A >> Watched at Seattle International Film Festival, it is a sweet, cute, and funny little film. Day Zero >> Good premise and characters, this movie is only hindered by not clearly portraying its theme of the story. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Incredible film. Marian Quinn set this film in the late 70s because that was when she would have been a preteen. But there is a timelessness to the film that I think everyone will find familiar. The cast of young girls was phenomenal! They really captured the subtle complexities of the struggles of making that shift as a young girl. The other great aspect to this film was that it also gave a glimpse into the lives of other woman around them... the older high school girls who have distanced themselves from their recent youth and their mothers who have discovered new challenges. Even the old ladies in the shop who now fill their days with gossip. Such a simple story that manages to capture so much. I can only hope there will be a 34B. And a 36C. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member The story of a yound girl growing up, looking for his first love and finding the meaning of friendship. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautifully filmed but very girly, I can't relate to the whole first bra thing. However, the breast obsession and 1979 setting are both firmly in my comfort zone. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Has a charming side of it of Dublin life in the 70's but it needed a sharp edge in the handling. Good to watch all the same.
