Audience Member Made in Thailand by directors Patchanon Tummajira, Kirati Nakintanon and Isara Nadee, this film takes its title from the time that the supernatural happens. In "The Wig," sisters May and Mint are running the family wig business while their parents travel. They unknowingly buy the hair of a dead woman whose spirit begins to haunt May as she makes it into a new hairpiece. Meanwhile, Mint's friends are acting up and are all killed by the ghost in various ways, including a harrowing scene where one of their heads has been moved to the wig shelf. For some reason, this section totally hit all of the right notes with me. The "Corpse Bride" presents a mortician willing to aardvark the dead to save them from an abusive ghost in the afterlife. I mean, I guess that's what he was trying to do, but it turns out that the dead woman isn't the angel that she seems to be, no matter how gorgeous her corpse is. In "O.T.," two bosses delight in playing pranks on their employees involving fake ghosts, but when they go too far and two of their workforce die…well perhaps they shouldn't have ever gotten on that elevator. This movie was successful and had two sequels, 3 AM: Part 2 and 3 AM: Part 3, which also is known as Aftershock. I assume that this movie would have been much more frightening if I saw it in 3D, as it played in theaters with that technology Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Where can I begin with this train wreck of a film? Perhaps the tortuously wooden acting that borders entering into the world of picking up a bunch of inmates at a local asylum, drugging them up and asking them to act out the worst written script of the century? Maybe the random altering of sound so that whole scenes are lost to a deadly silence before being rudely cut into with a random burst of speech? Or perhaps even the ridiculous and juvenile plot which leaves the viewer feeling less scared then when the DVD entered the machine? The answer is that all three come together in to create an impossibly dire film which means that you feel it might be more productive to poke your eyes out then sit through another second of the film. So maybe I had it coming. Bargain bucket in a supermarket? But surely I could never expect such a film. The plot revolves around a 'friend' inviting the main character (if you can call it that) and a whole series of events begin to drag the plot sluggishly through the film. Oh and of course add in some former love interest and some crap about finding your soul mate that didn't make much sense. Overall the, perhaps from the review you can see that to say the film was a disappointment would the understatement of the century. But what would be expected from a bargain bucket at a supermarket? Well, perhaps an actual film rather than a series of randomly collected scenes, poorly filmed and acted even worse that this film manages to serve up in two hours of unmitigated garbage. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member based on the cover i thought the movie was going to be a scary slasher flick. i lOvE slashers, but i was pleasantly surprised by this. The story takes a surprising, if somewhat disappointing, turn as a love story. That being said, the story successfully merges the horror and romance genres. I thought most of the acting was good with a few exceptions. If you are looking for straight up action, this is not the movie to get. If you have the patience to sit through a slowly developing story, you just might enjoy this movie. also since this is a 'true story' i checked out the true story feature and i thought it was kinda funny how close some of the true story matched with the movie. Is is really a 'true story'??? I don't know, but its worth a look id say. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member some terrible acting...some absolurely ridiculous ghoulies. a story which had some potential but was massacred. can't really think of any redeeming features in this flick. surely you can find something better to waste 90 minutes of your life watching. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Acting isn't great but the story line is awesome and its generally a good B-grade movie.
