Nijla Mu'min Bitch Media The film finds its biggest strengths in the quiet moments with Davis's parents as they attempt to move through the grief of losing their only child. Jan 28, 2021 Full Review Anisha Jhaveri indieWire While "Justice for Jordan" may have been served, the words - and Davis' story - are yet another reminder of a nation that remains fractured by inequality, desperately in need of change. Rated: A- Oct 28, 2017 Full Review Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online While the documentary itself merely gives the audience a bird's eye view of the courtroom narrative, it punctuates the point that is too often forgotten in these cases: It is Dunn who is on trial here, not Davis. Rated: B+ Sep 1, 2017 Full Review Michael J. Casey Michael J. Cinema There are no winners here, only losers, and by the end, everyone has lost far too much. Rated: 4/5 Sep 12, 2021 Full Review Liam Lacey Original Cin Marc Silver's tautly edited film, as well as being a compelling real-life courtroom drama, offers some clarity about race and injustice in the pre-Trump era. Rated: B-plus Apr 13, 2021 Full Review Bernard Boo Way Too Indie The nature of the injustice and the psychologies of his subjects are more than interesting enough to carry us through a full-length feature, and in recognizing that, he shows restraint. Tom F A very powerful documentary, deserving its high Rotten Tomatoes rating. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/27/24 Full Review Pheasant W Michael Dunn committed perjury. So glad he's rotting in prison. BAN GUNS. How many more children need to die to protect the right for any moron to own and carry a gun! And no fuxking civilian should carry guns that can kill MULTIPLE people in minutes. It's disgusting. They are human killing machines not 18th century muskets that take time to reload and aren't super accurate. NOT THE SAME. GUNS CHANGE, SO SHOULD LAWS. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent documentary. Everybody who thinks "Stand Your Ground" is a reasonable defense should see this film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Heartbreaking but required viewing. A very good documentary balancing the crime and trial with personal insights into Jordan Davis. #SayHisName Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A fascinating and incredible look inside the case of Michael Dunn who fired 10 shots at a car full of black teens, killing 1 of them. His arrogance and ignorance was on full display during the taped jail house phone calls between his wife and himself. This man deserved llife in prison, which was in serious doubt and required a 2nd after a hung jury trial. Amazing work by the filmmakers to show all the appropriate facts. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member heartbreaking, captivating, eye opening. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
