Peter Bradshaw Guardian This long, all-but-wordless piece is good on the endless boredom of unsupervised childhood. Rated: 3/5 Nov 23, 2007 Full Review Patrick Peters Empire Magazine A melancholic treatise on isolation and our failure to connect with those closest to us. Rated: 3/5 Nov 21, 2007 Full Review Matt Bochenski Little White Lies Royston Tan's film comes alive in the green hued semi-darkness of the flat, using long takes and infinite silences to show two troubled souls connecting through their mutual loneliness. Nov 21, 2007 Full Review Jamie Russell Film4 Somewhat ironically for a film about insomnia, 4:30 manages to send its audience to sleep. A lack of plot and an ill-judged belief in its own importance make it a disappointment for Tan fans. Rated: 2/5 Nov 23, 2007 Full Review Tim Evans Sky Cinema Nicely shot but too wilfully obscure for many tastes, it's to Xiao Li Yuan's credit that he carries a movie whose unrequited love theme doesn't merit this length. Audience Member There is Art House and then there is watching paint dry - I'm afraid the is the second Royston Tan film I have struggled to see the point of. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I guess it conveys well the boredom of being alone, but I don't want to feel bored for 1Â 1/2 hours. I also don't like having to rely on external sources to understand the plot. The photography was nice. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member One of my fqvourites... without any comments, it's just that way. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Whoh!! Sungguh slow tapi menarik. Citer ni tak banyak bercakap, main actors pun tak banyak dialog. Korang bayangkan sejam setengah macam tu.. mesti ada yang rasa boring.. tapi ape yang best adalah mainan visual & emosi budak yg berlakon tu. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member how sweet can Royston Tan be? <3 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member kinda slow, even for royston Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
