Ben Sachs Chicago Reader 09/14/2017
At nearly two and a half hours, the film feels a little overlong, but the acute sense of transience makes a strong impression. Go to Full Review

Writer-director Jrme Reybaud has crafted an assured film for his narrative-feature debut. "4 Days in France" has a strong vision, even as its protagonist simply wanders across France. Go to Full Review
Glenn Kenny New York Times 08/03/2017
While Mr. Reybaud has exemplary artistic confidence and an interesting vision, this is a movie that in many ways defines or justifies the "not for everybody" critical hedge. Go to Full Review
Vadim Rizov Filmmaker Magazine 01/11/2023
The cumulative effect is a movie that seems initially extremely low-key but enfolds a great deal of anecdotal incident into a sneakily ambitious package. Go to Full Review

Reybaud's expertly ordered world is predicated on a genteel kindness, of strangers and Pierre alike, and starts to crack ever so slightly the further north he travels and the colder it gets. Go to Full Review

3.5/4
A poignant, self-aware, and sometimes deeply funny exploration of the folly, the eccentricity, and the profound beauty of the human journey. Go to Full Review

01/16/2022 It says Highly erotic scenes, that was funny. This film is very long and for a guy on the road and on Grindr, wanting a taste of freedom, there is virtually no sex, no meetings. Just lots of crazy women he meets on the journey. So, I do not really get the point of this movie. It was rather boring. There are much better gay films around. Very disappointing. See more 05/20/2018 Just couldn't get into it. See more 03/25/2018 Unwatchable - avoid by all means! See more 08/17/2017 This film was so bring and ridiculously bad. I can;t believe it even got brought to the states. See more jim m 08/11/2017 I saw this movie at Outfest this summer, and it is a boring slog not worth the trip. If you hope for some revelation or transition for the main character, forget it. He wanders around France (pretty countryside) searching for his next hook up. If he wants all that dick why leave Paris for the country? This film is NOT worth the seemingly endless 2 1/2 hours.
