Ronnie Scheib Variety [An] exquisite, light-drenched tone poem. Mar 7, 2008 Full Review Jeff Shannon Seattle Times As poet of heartbreak, Shinkai could be accused of treacly mush (the voice-overs are a bit florid, and the saccharine piano score doesn't help), but he's got a delicate touch with sentiment that will have receptive viewers reaching for a Kleenex. Rated: 3/4 Oct 5, 2007 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media This is a tearjerker coming-of-age anime about unrequited love and missed connections. 5 Centimeters Per Second is filled with beautiful images and insightful observations about how people who are once very close can slowly drift apart. alexandre n I saw a fb post of a called Hayao Miyazaki about this film. Now, I feet heartless to have been so bored. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/10/24 Full Review ThatSerperior It's fine, it's just a little too slow paced for my liking Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/27/24 Full Review Holly S gostei, mesmo não tendo entendido de primeira! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/05/24 Full Review Stefff M 5 cm per second is not a movie, it's a poem. (5 cm per second is the rate at which cherry petals fall during their flowering period). An emotional and profound story that leads us to a bittersweet ending…. just as the fall of cherry blossoms is inevitable and delicately sad Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/27/23 Full Review Itaker H La mejor pelicula de anime que he visto. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/29/23 Full Review Nathan G Beautiful story that had me tearing up at multiple points. I really think each individual story is fantastic, but I was not a huge fane of the second act. I did not enjoy adding a third character into the fold. It would have been better to keep the focus on the main two. Animation is great, but I can tell they were still honing their craft as it was not as sharp as his newer work. Overall, I still really enjoyed this, the short runtime really makes this a fun digestible short with film style quality. Score: 74% 👍 Verdict: Good Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
