This documentary captures the August 2005 evacuation of 8000 Israelis by the Israeli Defense Force from settlements in the Gush Katif section of the Gaza Strip, in advance of the resettlement of the area by Palestinians. IDF Major General Dan Harel is at the head of the evacuation, which clashes in a variety of ways with a group of Israeli activists headed by Noam Shapira, who protest the forced resettlement. The film ends with a thoughtful interview with Harel.
