L'un d'eux, Jung, accueilli dans une famille belge de Rixensart, est devenu dessinateur de BD et a évoqué ses souvenirs d'enfance dans un album aujourd'hui porté à l'écran : "Couleur de peau : miel". Le dessinateur quadragénaire y évoque les joies, les difficultés, les couleurs et les émotions qui l'ont façonné : à la relation difficile avec la mère adoptive répondait une sincère connivence avec les frères et soeurs. A un pays et une famille biologique fantasmatiques et idéalisés s'opposent des difficultés à communiquer avec d'autres enfants adoptés. Ces contradictions, ces émotions parfois violentes, témoignent de la difficulté de se considérer totalement comme partie intégrante d'un des deux mondes. Ce qui rend le récit touchant est qu'il ne s'agit pas d'un simple conte à valeur exemplative mais des véritables souvenirs de Jung, dont la voix off commente images et reconstitutions animées tout au long de ce processus cathartique. Visuellement aussi, "Couleur de peau: miel" mérite le détour : collage hétéroclite de crayonnées 2D sur fond de décors 3D, de vidéos familiales et d'images documentaires tournées à Seoul de nos jours, il s'inscrit parfaitement dans la récente tendance de l'animation européenne à s'emparer de sujets plus adultes et à privilégier l'originalité visuelle à l'efficacité à tout prix.
