Audience Member Romantic and brave love story for a Pinoy motion picture...It's really hard to let go someone you love... am I right?.. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Why do they keep on using a familiar pap when they can actually create something even better? The level of appreciation for films using this type of formula was long gone. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member I find this movie so heartwarming and life-inspiring despite others find it just another-romantic-Pinoy-movie around. And though this movie was criticized for having so much cliches and cheesy lines of a romanctic movie and having a fast pace start with slow pace ending, no one can deny that it a great story to tell about battling for life and surviving cancer as well as the good chemistry of the lead actors. The story is something new and fresh in Pinoy romantic movies. And while it has a tearjerker and sad ending, at the end it inspires its audiences to live the life golden rule - Live life to the fullest. This is also a good travel movie for showcasing the best of Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro throughout the film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member If this what the movie production is all about in the Philippines - I think I'll stay away for a while from watching anything similar to this! But, I'll have to say that my mom and her "coffee ladies" will love it - it's perfect for the fans of soap operas! The story of Eugene (Sam Milby) and Raffy (KC Concepcion) and their love has more clichés that I thought is possible to fit in 105 minutes. From cheese dialogues to "happiest day of my life" of a dying young girl, or successful career or even hope for a happy ending - everything was just TOO MUCH for an ordinary human! Yes, they are the two most popular actors in that country, but only real fans of theirs could survive undamaged... especially after having to put up with Sam Milby recorded version of "All My Life" which was originally sung by America and is used as the film's theme song. My suggestion is that you keep away from this one, especially if you're wearing pants! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member It was okay. KC wasn't annoying at all in this movie, haha! She played the part well. As for Sam, well I never really warmed up to his character. His character was too angry and so full of himself that I wonder how KC's character fell in love with him to begin with! I guess she was THAT sick, she had nothing to lose, haha. Nevertheless, the story was heartwarming enough. It had this "A Walk To Remember" feel to it though. I guess the couple just didn't have the chemistry of say, John Lloyd and Bea, or Sam and Toni. And oh yeah, Matet De Leon is slowly becoming the new Dimples Romana -- the perennial girl close friend who seems to make much more sense than the lead characters. Haha! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member The Filipino version of "A Walk to Remember". What happens when you combine a story of a lymphoma patient and a two of the biggest Filipino stars today? A dramatic love story with a cheesy cliche every 5 minutes. But of course, this is what makes a Filipino movie a Filipino movie. Despite rolling my eyes every couple minutes, there were some heartfelt moments that really got me. Minus the cheesy lines, this was a deeper and more developed Filipino movie than most. K.C. Concepcion wasn't the stunning beauty queen that she usually is in her movies, but she still stole my heart away. The way she rolls her eyes and smiles? I'd do anything for that girl. And as for Sam Milby? Once again, I continually hope that I'm nothing like him. Overall, a nice Filipino love story, but not one I need to see again (mainly because of the length).
