The film feels unbelievably long at 84 minutes, and the color-drained, hand-held cinematography serves only as a reminder of just how good "Night of the Living Dead" really was. Go to Full Review

Every day is gloomy in "The Day," Douglas Aarniokoski's film with a creepy, paranoid atmosphere that's more effective than the performances. Go to Full Review

This Day feels like an MTV spin-off of The Road. With a near monochrome color pallet, and scenes of intense action and violence it never seems to offer substance with it's style. Go to Full Review

The script will keep you engaged in this solitary place. The relationships built among this family of survivors feels real and tested. And the events of the film bring out interesting and violent changes in the family. Go to Full Review

Could definitely have benefited from twenty more minutes of story. Go to Full Review

Jeff B Jan 11 Started off cool - i like a good apocalypse movie. Then just downhill. Instead of zombies, it's a gang of humans attacking a house where our brave heroes defend them off. It's just like "Night of the Living Dead". But to add to the bad on this, it's so dark, it's hard to see what's going on - a great trick directors use when they realize their shots aren't that good so they just darken everything so you can't really see what's happening. Yes, they attack at night (of course they do) but come on, this gets tired fast. if you want a movie to kinda watch in the background while you're playing a game on your PC, this is good. but, we've seen this formula before. NOT even going to go into the shaky camera work. See more Bryan B @heybryan 12/23/2023 Dollar store knockoff of the road. See more 01/10/2023 Those kinds of sweet, short watches then forget it. See more 09/17/2020 The day is entertaining enough but overall this isn’t a good film. The acting isn’t that great and the story is simple. It’s a low budget film and with the lack of manylocations except one house it feels like it. More could’ve been explained in the backstory since I could care less that any of these characters. A simple and forgettable film. See more 10/25/2017 A bunch of people the writing couldn't make me care about got killed. I only give it 2 stars because I feel bad for the guys who made it.
