Hope Madden Screen Relish Between the staging and the ensemble performances, BLOOD MOON can't overcome an amateurish vibe that finally sinks it. Rated: 2.5 Apr 8, 2019 Full Review Anton Bitel Grolsch Film Works Like a postcolonial Navaho warrior exiled from his people and trapped in a silly costume, this film is unable to recover from its own identity crisis, and merely goes through the genre motions. Alex E Bad acting and poor video quality overall. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/09/24 Full Review Jason R Great monster movie with a cool twist. Watched it on Halloween - loved it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/01/23 Full Review christopher c. m First there is way too much screentime dedicated to the Bank Robbers, they are not that interesting. There Native American Black Deer is played by Japanese actress Eleanor Matsuura. Skinwalkers and Werewolves are NOT the same thing. When the Skinwalker finally is revealed he looks like he has lockjaw or something. But as a whole, it isn't really that horrible. The bank robbers are really that interesting but their not horribly written either. There is one who is a Monsterhunter named Cahoon who is the most likable. Not good, not horrible, but meh for the most part. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member TheReelness.com: The Western setting and character driven story adds a fun twist on what otherwise would be yet another predictable werewolf thriller. Yes, the monster in this low-budget creature feature is as laughably hokey as some of the dialogue – but the film has enough clever one-liners, scares and a fun vibe to let us know it is in on the joke. It’s a fun, old-fashioned Saturday matinee type movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/06/21 Full Review Audience Member Surprisingly, the acting is not the worst i've ever seen, but it comes close, especially the Navaho girl. Although the premise might have been interesting with better actors,a good director, and sets that didn't look like they were bought last minute at a yardsale, this unfortunate film just made me laugh at it's ridiculousness. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member The British make a western horror film on a small budget that deserves recognition for good quality right down the list.
