Audience Member Una gran historia con un final convincente. Atrapa desde el principio, muy recomendada Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member I've just watched the movie through the entertainment system on a plane, which surprisingly categorized it as a comedy. Despite some comic relief and funny characters, it's definitely not an easy watch. A great insight into a different culture! the Chinese title literally means "Forgive him 77 times" which would probably sound shocking for a Westerner (why suffer so long? if you're so unhappy do you have to wait so long before ending a relationship? I was really struck by a line in a dialogue between Eva and her mother - long suffering wife or a very unpleasant man. What do you expect? Woman's fate is to suffer. Eva feels that she doesn't want to share such fate, yet she remains in a rather unhappy and unsatisfying relationship, with an equally difficult man. Also there is a huge contrast in her professional and personal life. a successful lawyer in a glamorous firm, she communicates with the most difficult clients with poise and confidence, yet while talking with her boyfriend, she uses a little girls voice and a little girl's pout when while trying to express her grievances. a great story and acting from all characters, and a realistic ending.
