When Financial Director Femi Jackson for One USA, a democratic super PAC to elect presidential candidate Harold Roundtree, discovers patterns in donations he enlists the help of investment blogger Ira Goldstein to dig deeper. Together they uncover a conspiracy and while new seasoned Deputy Executive Director Fred Fowlkes wants to act, head of One USA Agatha Frost is hesitant. Femi’s wife, Maria Jackson, strives to educate their son on the dangers he will face in modern American society as she fights racial and classist bias at work. Meanwhile talk show host Ron Holt drills Roundtree on campaign finance reform, Citizens United, and the collapse of City District Bank where Roundtree was CEO. Femi and Ira follow the campaign money trail back to its nefarious origins and race to uncover the truth before the presidential primaries.

I absolutely LOVE this movie! The pace of the movie is great. I never would have guessed who the "boogie man" was. It kept me glued to my seat. If you enjoy keeping up with politics and/or enjoy suspense I recommend watching this.

This movie is exceptional so far and I'm only halfway through it. I'm so glad that I ran across this movie and recommend everyone watch it. Many people may be biased but those that don't agree might just be the ones who don't want a change that involves systemic racism and most likely believe it's normal. I only wish that one day I have the opportunity to be involved with the making of a project of this magnitude.

"88" is a captivating and thought-provoking film that had me questioning many aspects of its narrative. It was undeniably well-crafted and kept me intrigued throughout. The thought that the writer may have uncovered something significant, yet not widely discussed, left me pondering what else might be hidden. It's a gripping movie that gave me pause, particularly in relation to DeSantos in Florida. In summary, "88" was a great film, but its unsettling themes left a lasting impact.
