8 Billion Angels explores the birth of mankind and its relentless growth and pursuit to harness, exploit, and ultimately dominate Mother Earth. The film examines the evidence pointing towards a controversial and often overlooked question: are there too many people on Planet Earth? And consequently, are we and all Earth's creatures destined for extinction, or do we have the will to turn the tide?

Robert Abele Los Angeles Times The reality of this movie's approach, however, is an artless pummeling of facts and figures. Apr 22, 2021 Full Review Devika Girish New York Times The unfocused editing somewhat defangs the film's urgency, but it does give a sense of the scale of the issue and the corporate greed that fuels overconsumption. Apr 22, 2021 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix [In this] horrendously biased and poorly researched documentary about how the world's population affects environmental problems, the filmmakers make it look like the perspectives of Black and Hispanic people don't matter. May 9, 2021 Full Review Louis Proyect Counterpunch.org After seeing this film, you'll rethink the whole question of prosperity. If economic growth and population impingement lead to the extinction of wolves and the proliferation of rats and pigeons, it is time we get our priorities straight. This film helps. Apr 27, 2021 Full Review Dennis Harvey 48 Hills 8 Billion Angels examines the big picture of how overpopulation is endangering our species' future. Audience Member The film 8 Billion Angels examines the current state of the Earth and delves into critical environmental challenges worldwide, highlighting what the community is already doing to mitigate the damage and suggesting future remedies (Abramorama, 2021). The movie does a terrific job of ascertaining how environmental issues affect ordinary people and thinking about how bad things will become in excessive years if nothing is done. It is remarkable to see so many people now taking a stand and attempting to save the Earth, even if it is only a small contribution. What is even more fascinating are the prospective solutions proposed. The film proves that educated women are the primary variable in population control.
