Audience Member Agree with Leo L, definitely a personal favorite! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Sad movie. And not as good as many other dancemovies that I have seen. But it was OK. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member quite a sad movie. bout frienship. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Okay so this movie like everybody says looks like it's going to be all about dancing... Which is actually only a small part of it. So what this movie is about is 2 best friends Shiri Appleby(Sam) and Larisa Oleynik(Jules). Jules is obessed with dancing and it is her life and Sam wants to be just like Jules. Jules has everything going for her she's got an awesome best friend, loving family, and when is the one that gets talked about the most, expecially in her dance class. Jules is full of hope and joy and is dreaming of the future with an optimistic mind. As for her best friend, she is pretty much the opposite. She isnt full of hope and joy because it's been crushed by problems at home and in life. She loves to write and only does dancing because her best friend does and she wants to be just like her. Her mom has grown a little distant from her and she thinks that she likes Jules better along with the rest of the world and because of that she doesnt expect much from Jules and she knows she will be living her her shadow for the rest of her life. She's lost and doesnt know who she is only who Jules is. So she always upset about that and the fact that Jules gets more attention then her also makes her upset. She is pretty much on the border line of depression. Jules tells her everything but Sam tells Jules nothing. So at the beginning of the movie Jules one and only goal in life is to get into Julliard. So she practices all the time, and because of that she shuns the rest of the world, breaks up with her boyfriend and hangs out less with her bestfriend Sam. Dance is her life until one day she starts having hip pains. When they go to check it out it, it ends up she has type 4 cancer and that shes going to need to go into kemo immediatly if she wants to fight it off. Through this she becomes weaker and her dream is getting harder to reach. She finds out how wonderful life really is and looks at it in a new shade then she used to. And this is when the movie gets really good so im not going to say anymore. The ending of this movie is pretty superb and it almost brought me to cry. The acting was awesome and the story was awesome. So seriously go check out this movie, you wont be disappointed. And if you really liked this then check out " A Walk To Remember" Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member This film really does turn someone hobby into something more extraordinary. When Jules finds out she has Cancer, my heart sank to my toes. But her determination to get into the dance school was incredible. She fought the whole way and putting her mind into her dance moves really amazed me. The ending really made this film memorable. The reading of the letter by her bestfriend had a huge impact upon the story, i found this scene teary, but not for sadness but for the determination Jules had in her dancing. I see this film as a must see for women. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Neither a lot of dance nor a strong drama but somehow it balance on that particular point that makes it work: I enjoy dancing scenes and dancing philosophy and also the story really touched me. It's not too depresive as majority movies about a fight with cancer are, so maybe you can say it's not so deep in subject. Also there is less of the dance scenes than I expected, no sparkling showcase and many other stuff from dance movies but as one it is good in acting. This is just not too serious but not too much entertaining movie about frienship, cancer and lifetime passion for dance. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
