Melanie McFarland Salon.com Even by retrograde Hallmark holiday movie standards, it's a blizzard of poor writing and empty schmaltz devoid of propulsive tension or profound resolution, but with 500 percent more scripture references. Nov 28, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Holly-Lyn L I felt like it wasn't the fun family holiday movie I expected. It wasn't upbeat it had a more depressing edge with religion crammed down my throat. Maggie's family visited brother and daughter on Christmas who were mourning his wife and daughters mom's passing. Clearly some life events need to take a normal course without cobtrolling Maggie to the rescue who comes with her own set of problems. Too complicated and downtrodden to be a fun family holiday movie. The lights, the scenery and the town were beautiful and this had the potential to knock it out of the park but it failed miserably. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/11/24 Full Review Bubie C The movie had a forced quality about it as it uneasily tried to squeeze a fair amount of proselytizing into bland Christmas movie. The result turned this C- movie into a D- one. As a huge fan of Marc Blucas, I was especially disappointed to see him uncomfortable in his own skin as he attempted to make the movie work. Like to a batch stale Christmas cookies, to this one I'll say, hard pass. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/24 Full Review Monica D. R This movie has so much relevant depth for today!! Great job GAF! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/22/23 Full Review Julie D This movie was more like sitting in church for 2 hours. The only difference was there was no collection plate passed around. I'm as religious as the next person but this was over the top. If this is the type of movies she will doing from now on, I won't be watching. I watch movies for entertainment. I can go to church if I want to listen to one scripture after another. Very disappointing. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/17/23 Full Review Geralt G I guess I would sum up by saying it's boring. I'm sure there's an audience for this and I hope this movie finds it - but the story isn't just slow, it's empty. Hollow. Even the old, dull platitudes seem worse with the plastic delivery. Just seems like a massive waste of time and money. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/03/23 Full Review John P Heartfelt, Christ-centered movie. Deals with many relationship-issues we all go through. The last commercial break is in the wrong place. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
