Tara Brady Irish Times 02/23/2016

Against all odds, the film, though not short on Yuletide schmaltz, is pretty good, and a huge improvement on such 'family fare' as the dread Nativity franchise. Go to Full Review

This is a children's film made by adults who think they knwo what children want. Go to Full Review
Leslie Felperin Guardian 11/12/2015
3/5
This Northern Ireland-set fable steals adroitly from all kinds of classic Christmas-themed movies - a bit of Miracle on 34th Street, a dash of Nativity!, a big dollop of It's a Wonderful Life, and so on. Go to Full Review
Matthew Bond The Mail on Sunday (UK) 10/26/2017
1/5
With the exception of one or two performances from its junior cast, this is awful, a feeble reworking of Local Hero weighed down with ersatz sentiment, clunking parallels with the Nativity story and a charmless script. Go to Full Review

Star-studded Irish holiday movie is cliched but sweet. Go to Full Review

Mike W Dec 22 For anyone who found the Christian allegory in the Narnia books a bit too subtle, this may well be the film for them. Christmas child Noelle, born in a stable to parents Joe and Maria, using her miracle powers and with a little help from her friends, foils the evil plans of villainous property developer McHerod (who would no doubt have got away with it if it hadn’t been for those meddling kids) Yes, it’s Jesus meets ScoobyDoo… See more 12/22/2021 This is a great movie for children who think that every Christmas movie is set in New York, or at least the US. The thrill of seeing a film set in a small town in N. Ireland made the children in the school film club declare it was the best Christmas film they have ever seen! It has a decent plot and is well acted, the children stealing the show. Lots of Christmas messages and a sprinkling of schmaltz. Sure what more do you want? See more 12/01/2021 If you equate Christmas with boredom then this movie is for you. If you actually like movies avoid this like the plague. See more 12/14/2017 Loved it! Great to see unknown kids playing most of the main characters... this wasn't a rerun of anything,?in fact it's based on true happenings in the town of GlenArm in Northern Ireland.. I've watched a few times and love it everytime See more 12/27/2016 Nice Christmas movie with a good story thats worth watching See more 01/16/2016 It's a christmas film but nothing more.
