Jeff M Not to be confused with the recently released A CHRISTMAS STORY CHRISTMAS, this sequel finds Ralphie interested in cars and girls rather than a Red Ryder BB gun. This came out nearly 30 years after the original, and it feels totally unnecessary and created only to capitalize on the 1983 film which garnered more and more of a reputation over the years. This one sadly doesn't have a modicum of the charm or heart of director Bob Clark's classic. Lemasters could pass as a slightly older Peter Billingsley, who portrayed Ralphie in the original, but the performance feels forced and unengaging - it's all big smiles and overacting. The other performances are generic and bad sitcom level seemingly without any effort to capture the essence of the original characters. This was released direct to DVD, and it's pretty obvious why! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/24 Full Review David S This is a great movie it's not as good as the first movie but it's still pretty good in this sequel to the hit classic A Christmas Story we see Ralphie as a teenage alongside with his friend Flick and Schwartz. The kid who plays Ralphie did a great job heck the whole cast did an excellent job this may not be as good as the first one but it has that Christmas Story charm. The story, acting and directing is great in this sequel to A Christmas Story. If you have not seen this movie then I recommend you do Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/20/23 Full Review Chris R EW I smell worthless cash grab Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/25/23 Full Review BRENDEN J A Christmas story 2 was not all that great it didn't feel like a sequel to the classic movie. This movie feels like a cash Grap so they can make money and it was not funny at all. Plus, this is your typical DVD sequel that you can find in stores. But anyway, please don't watch this movie because it's going to waste your time and your money.
