John DeFore Hollywood Reporter A low-key showcase for Fukada's returning collaborator Mariko Tsutsui. Jul 31, 2020 Full Review Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com There's a strong performance at the center that keeps it moving as Fukada rations out the story twists, but what's missing here is a radical restructuring of a frustrating screenplay. isla s This is a strange one. The story is intriguing, domestic and relatively sad but I'm not sure I followed all the details. The characters are interesting and its a well made film - its somewhat thought provoking. Yes, if you like Asian films like this then I'd say its worth a watch.
