Sammy L More idiotic man hating garbage that paints men as being inherently evil simply because they are men. Idiotic trash like this is the reason modern filmmaking is in decline as modern feminists peddle their brain dead politics instead of actual compelling storytelling. Will definitely be actively avoiding Ms. Amirpour's work in the future. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/25 Full Review Steven M I treasure this film. It’s so good to see a post Twilight vampire movie that has distinguished itself like this one. For vampire fans, this is one to see. Most of the music of AGWHAAN is performed by the respected band Federale. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/25 Full Review Martijn t Sexy vampire skateboard patrol to keep crime rates low and even do some (admittedly not pedagogical approved) work to keep kids on the straight and narrow: I'm all for it. I also expected Marcello Mastroianni to wander in at any moment, because all the looks and acting are so 60s Italian arthouse inspired. Maybe he reincarnated as a cat? Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/27/24 Full Review Kyle M As perceptively summed, aligning conventional tropes eases the experience from similar endeavors towards something fresh as stylishly indicated. Ana Lily Amirpour proclaims her devoted passion to this refining contemporary take in blending early depictions as a spaghetti western, which unexpectedly delights out of reminiscence, thus, enough to solidify her approach as compelling despite being unable to keep up with such renowned feat nor raised the chills above mere observational analysis. (B+) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/16/24 Full Review Jens B 🎃 A wonderful representative of vampire films and another example that even in digital cinema, it’s possible to create visuals dripping with atmosphere. What captivated me most were the numerous dualities that the film explores: man – woman, adulthood – adolescence, morality – sin, day – night, Iran (origin) – California (new home), sex – abstinence, grief – happiness (though only induced by drugs). 🛹 The film feels longer than it actually runs, and in this case, I mean that as a compliment. If you allow yourself to get immersed in Amirpour’s story and style, you’re transported into a world full of contrasts that feels both familiar and strange. All of this is complemented by a carefully selected soundtrack and memorable dance scenes. A clear recommendation for anyone looking for something different in the horror genre.
