Robert Lloyd Los Angeles Times The dialogue can get a little cute ... and I'm pretty sure that the Chicago public school system doesn't put on nativity plays, but the plot proves watertight and the cast is able. Nov 28, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews

tim s "A Heavenly Christmas" or "Christmas Angel in Training" is a predictable made for T.V. Christmas Movie but with a Stella cast. Shirley MacLaine is an angel that mentors the recently deceased in how to be a Christmas Angel and help somebody in need or pain in the living world. On her first Christmas angelic assignment, after her untimely death, Eve ( Kristin Davis) falls in love with Max (Eric McCormack) who unfortunately is very much alive. "A Heavenly Christmas" focuses on Max and the wishes of his sister that after her death Max would become the guardian of her daughter. The movie is based at Christmas and obviously in the Hallmark World miracles happen at Christmas. Although very predictable, "A Heavenly Christmas" is quite watchable and does have some sweet moments. It's nothing special, a little too schmaltzy, but the cast are superb unlike the special effects. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review k a Eve has forgotten to make time for the people she cares about. Then, an accident changes everything. Reminiscent of It's a Wonderful Life with Shirley Maclaine as a guardian angel who helps Eve discover what really matters to her. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Love Kristen and the story. I believe God does send angels a,mong us, but I don't believe they get a second chance at life in the flesh. Still, it is very warm and loving story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Really enjoyed it- beautifully acted. Highly recommended Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member A really good Christmas romantic comedy! Put your smiles on and be ready to drop a few tears! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member I really wanted to like it cause I love Shirley McClain but I just didn't. First thing I'd prob give this one star if the great Shirley McClain was not in it .... I just love her and I liked her scenes in it but that's it. Didn't care for that plot plus I've seen 100 movies like this already ! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews
