Audience Member a very strong drama about a high school senior who has to make a decision of whether to stay local and take care of her mentally bipolar mother or choose to leave and start her college life away from home. a powerful performance. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member A Light Beneath Their Feet has a few moments where it addresses the theme of bipolar disability perhaps too directly (as in, abruptly in the middle of a plot scene), but its wonderfully acted by the two leads and has a story that has to be very relatable for some of the college-bound people out there. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member "A Light Beneath Their Feet" often handles its potentially dark material with a little too much care, but that doesn't stop it from being a truly rich and sincere mother/daughter drama. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Between a 7/10 and 8/10, the film's strength lies in its honest and realistic portrayal of mental illness and the toll it exacts on those in its sufferer's orbit. It manages to do this with a sense of humor that does not oversimplify. Impressive. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
