Audience Member a pretty cool suspense thriller part ransom, part kidnap movie set in a foreign nation Melissa George does a pretty damn good job but her accent is just damn awful, I don't know even why they tried that approach there's a lot of nail-biting suspense in this movie revoling around a little girl found in the ground in the woods as it turns out she's part of a bigger conspiracy than our main characters thought for some reason the movie at one point decides to take a break and it's pretty damn uninteresting plus you really didn't need all these side-characters like the cops the Scotland landscape also succeeds at being beautiful to look at and pretty dangerous at the same time most of the main protagonists get the axe pretty quick and the whole thing becomes a chase-flick from there I do admire the performances mainly from George since she pretty much gets a ton of dramatic roles these days not a horror flick per se, but an intense crime film that shocks the viewer pretty strongly Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/25/24 Full Review Cristian s Esperaba nada y la verdad que cumplió. Historia con buen ritmo y algún buen giro argumental. Alguna discrepancia pero para ser una película de bajo presupuesto está bastante bien. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/12/23 Full Review Vera A This movie is underrated, my family and I thought it was well worth watching. Really liked this movie which featured mostly Melissa George who played Allison, and her skills to survive in saving this little girl Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/27/23 Full Review Susan W Excellent, gripping movie. We both enjoyed it. Not much more I can say. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member A very entertaining thriller. Good characters and most of the actions are pretty logical and believable. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Liam D While it doesn't compare to other Thrillers of its kind but it's rather tense and effective Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/10/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Bill Goodykoontz Arizona Republic Part high-altitude adventure movie, part kidnapping caper film, "A Lonely Place to Die" is more exciting than smart, though that's not the worst thing you can say about a movie. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 10, 2011 Full Review Charlotte O'Sullivan London Evening Standard I almost died laughing. Rated: 2/5 Sep 9, 2011 Full Review Anthony Quinn Independent (UK) Rated: 2/5 Sep 9, 2011 Full Review Ed Travis Hollywood Jesus ...the script had an authentic feel throughout. Even as twists and turns developed, the heart and logic of the thriller remained intact. Apr 1, 2020 Full Review Lee Cassanell CineVue Admittedly, this isn't the greatest premise in the world, but with a good script and assured direction, greatness was still reachable. Unfortunately for everyone concerned, A Lonely Place to Die has neither. Rated: 2/5 Nov 27, 2018 Full Review Paul Chambers CNNRadio Despite the many faults with the story (particularly the logic), there's good action and the film moves well once it gets started. Lots of running, climbing and dodging bullets. You could do worse. Rated: C+ Apr 9, 2012 Full Review Read all reviews
