I think it's very hard to do Shakespeare in film because the audience is such an integral part of the story. This is the only film I've ever seen that has manage to keep that sort of feeling. It is wonderfully acted and thought out and it's absolutely insane, just as midsummer should be.

I've now seen this twice - the second time I brought friends because I enjoyed it so much the first time. It's clever, magical, and laugh out loud funny. A wonderful mash-up that respects the original language in a context that makes it fresh.

As a kid I !loved movies because they were fun. This version of Midsummer Night's Dream is pure unfettered fun. It's a whimsical joy. I loved it !

I Just happened to be near Nuart thought it was rescreen of the Michelle Pfieffer one, but i was pleasantly suprised, and i loved it! Retold in an LA setting and modernized world. Not just for film geeks.
