angela c @CiaoBella Dec 17 This movie makes no sense. The main character is always angry about something, all throughout the movie you have no idea what’s going on. Nothing about this movie makes sense. Even at the end of the movie when the main character is before the council, his speech to try and save the land makes no sense. He goes off on a tangent that even isn’t relevant to what the meeting is about. This is a poorly written movie, with poor acting. But it's all downhill from there. The plotlines are all over the place with poor editing and continuity issues. The dialogue is stilted with what is possibly the worst Oh-Please-Save-Our-Quaint-Town speech ever written. In fact, the script should be an example of how NOT to write in a Writing 101 class. The actors are adequate even if Casting hired an aging, paunchy actor to play the teen hero's brother who STILL LIVES AT HOME and looks old enough to play a parent. First it's about a boy who lost his best friend and discovers a magical hockey rink, then it is about his lost father and whether or not his mother ran him off, then it's about stopping a plan to develop land around the lake.
