And Bobby Love truly shines when showcasing the film’s extravagant costumes. At its core, the story follows two fractured souls who find connection and fulfillment in each other. Bobby Love is a force in this movie and there isn't a scene or frame with him in it that wont leave your jaw on the floor. A Moment For Love is one of the most unique movies I think I have ever seen and I think it's possible there wont be another one like it unless Bobby makes a sequel. The costuming and set design is up there with some of the greats and the surreal nature of how it is incorporated into the story gives this film it's own ethereal quality. For those of you who are wondering whether to give this movie a shot, just watch the first 10 minutes and you'll be in for the whole thing. At first, I wasn’t sure what I had stepped into. The world of Bobby Love, an eccentric fashion designer living in a castle in L.A., felt outrageous, campy, and completely outside my comfort zone. The costumes were really wide, as a film person I appreciated that a lot. But as the story unfolded, I found myself drawn in—not by the glitter or glam, but by the heart at the center of it all. Beneath the sequins and satire is a sincere story about love, acceptance, and the beauty of chosen family. By the end, I wasn’t just enjoying the outrageous costumes—I was enjoyi the story it self. This film might not be for everyone, but if you give it a chance, you’ll find a touching, joyful story about self-discovery and the magic of embracing people just as they are.
