Audience Member While watching A Scream in the Streets I couldn't quite figure out that taste that this movie was leaving in my mouth & the feeling it was leaving me w/. I mean it starts off w/ a rape/killing by a transvestite that should have been arrested by the fashion police because his style was a bigger crime then the violent acts that he was committing. Hilarious & just not enough of him as that is what I thought that was what this movies focal point was going to be but we scrap the gutters w/ massage parlor spankings & beatings, peeping toms & lots of padding of soft core sex but hairy asses & nut sacks. Sleazy 42nd street fun if your game...& I did figure out that taste in my mouth & the feeling this film leaves behind. It was as if I ate a bucket of shrimp that had been left sitting out in the sun too long & then someone dumped some calamari down the front of my pants Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member So, this movie has sex and violence, which usually are good elements for a film in the 70s, but that's pretty much all it has. It's not bad, but it's not good either. We don't get to know our characters very well, and most of the time we don't even see the main characters. The ending was the most interesting and exciting part of the whole movie. Overall, it's just okay. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Cheap, cheezy and low-grade to a fault. But you have to give Harry Novack credit for pandering to the rain-coat crowd, and trying to deliver the audience just what they want. For 1973 the slow motion "gun battles" are fairly impressive, and the sex scenes are lengthy and graphic. Not a great film, but one that will hold your attention with the charm of an era that will never be back. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
