09/09/2020 A Step Without Feet Co-Directors Jeremy Glaholt and Lydia Shamschula have made a provocative documentary focusing on 7 unique refugees living in political asylum in Berlin, Germany, having escaped from the horrors of the Syrian Wars of 2016 to 2019. The film is not just a straight forward telling of their "journey" across Europe to reach sanctuary. That is just the beginning of their travails. Their sense of loss for the families, friends and culture they left behind as well as their struggle to begin again...to fit in... within a strange land is poetically told with beautiful cinematic imagery. This is a terrific film that will leave your soul aching. See more 09/08/2020 A very touching film. Really gave me some insight into the plight of refugees and what they deal with when moving to a new country. Didn't realize so many Syrians wound up in Berlin. Certainly worth the watch and very enjoyable. See more 09/05/2020 This film captures the soulful longing of people forced to leave their home, families, friends and the song of the sweet familiar. It is deeply moving and portrays elements of humanity in transition that are timeless. See more Read all reviews
