Madhavan is in complete control of his craft here. His portrayal is deeply internal, he says more with a glance...than many do with pages of dialogue. Fatima Sana Shaikh, too, delivers a poised, empathetic performance that never feels performative.

The film starts well but gets lost towards the second half. The quality of cinema since then dips completely . Madhavan and Fatima try a lot to save the story but they can’t. Movie is too glossy to handle such a raw subject which needed more maturity I guess. Songs are good.
