Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Yes, we acknowledge the film’s attempts at earning feminist cred...Yay. But the way it keeps retreating into bland ‘safe family space’, when men are allowed to shout and scream and lay down the rules, while burrowing into tropes? Nay. Rated: 2/5 Jul 11, 2025 Full Review Devesh Sharma Filmfare Madhavan is in complete control of his craft here. His portrayal is deeply internal, he says more with a glance...than many do with pages of dialogue. Fatima Sana Shaikh, too, delivers a poised, empathetic performance that never feels performative. Rated: 4/5 Jul 11, 2025 Full Review Renuka Vyavahare The Times of India The actors are sincere, but their character arcs offer little scope to showcase their full acting potential. Both R Madhavan and Fatima are lovely as an unlikley couple but are underutilised as other subplots take over. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 11, 2025 Full Review Lachmi Deb Roy Firstpost There is a lack of depth in the characterisation and depiction of Madhu Bose. I am not saying that there is something disastrously wrong in the depiction of Netflix’s Aap Jaisa Koi, but it definitely could have been better! Rated: 3/5 Jul 11, 2025 Full Review Nandini Ramnath Scroll.in Nobody can blame Madhu for wanting to walk away from the bookish and deadly dull Shrirenu. To give Shrirenu his due, Madhu isn't terribly interesting either. Jul 11, 2025 Full Review Archi Sengupta LeisureByte.com Aap Jaisa Koi, on Netflix, is stupid and nonsensical and leaves you feeling rather frustrated and incensed. Mirza M 'Aap Jaisa Koi' is a fairly charming love story anchored by its uninhibited voice and sublime chemistry between its leads. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/12/25 Full Review Amitesh V. The film starts well but gets lost towards the second half. The quality of cinema since then dips completely . Madhavan and Fatima try a lot to save the story but they can’t. Movie is too glossy to handle such a raw subject which needed more maturity I guess. Songs are good. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/12/25 Full Review Read all reviews
