Tammy B Great feel good movie! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/11/22 Full Review Larry This was a excellent romantic comedy movie. Acting was great and story was very good. I hope it makes it to all theatres as it really is a great movie!! Everyone should see it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/10/22 Full Review Scott V Very good for a rom com. What I think people don't understand is that this genre is probably the hardest ever to be good since it's been done a million times over. You have to like rom coms and be in the mood. But I thought this one was a hit rather than a miss. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/04/24 Full Review Mary B This movie was so cute! Griffin and Margot have the craziest meet cute (I guess, technically, their second meeting) and things get crazier from there. It's a feel good rom com for sure, I'll add this to my list of feel good movies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/24 Full Review Scott W Fun . Ha . Good casting Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/24 Full Review Nina B Lots of really stupid parts. The orange candel scene. The use of ubers, clearly no one involved in the production of the film is familiar with how ubers work. The lost boot, the last minute veil pickup and closed bridal store. The unnecessary wedding planner chic. The ridiculous amount of love for Kip at the wedding. Wedding picture scene. The scene where the wedding stops for the story on how they met. Guess no one involved in the movie was ever at a wedding either. Seriously dumb, dumb scenes. I honestly don't recommend the movie. Luke Y. Thompson AV Club Despite the off-putting blandness of its poster, soundtrack, and set-up, About Fate proves surprisingly charming. Sep 19, 2022 Full Review Lisa Kennedy New York Times It would all be pretty boilerplate, but Mann’s anchoring appeal — his lean into Griffin’s modesty and decency — saves the movie from a sorrier fate. Sep 9, 2022 Full Review Elizabeth Weitzman TheWrap The women are nuts, the men are clueless and the production is so cheap you could pass the time spotting every mistake no one bothered to fix. Sep 9, 2022 Full Review Steven Warner In Review Online For a romantic comedy, About Fate is about as generic a title as they come, and it certainly matches the film that follows, a predictable slice of milquetoast pap that would feel snug at home on any basic cable network or streaming service. Sep 30, 2022 Full Review Sandie Angulo Chen Common Sense Media Though this isn't the sort of romcom moviegoers are likely to turn to year after year for comfort and joy, it's worth a watch to see the cast and the funny wedding sequence in the third act. Rated: 3/5 Sep 22, 2022 Full Review Natasha Alvar Cultured Vultures The tragedy here is that About Fate won't have as much traction as any of those inane Netflix holiday rom-coms, when it's precisely the kind of movie we rom-com lovers deserve.
