C The best actor in this movie was Steven Brand (Conner). The Niagra Falls setting was really good. Jamie Luner (Clarke) was good. The rest of the cast was decent. What this movie lacked was action and suspense between Clarke and Conner and the chase for the bag. There was no need for an imposter bag. The movie would have been better had Clarke found out what was in the bag earlier in the movie. The ending was good. Cheers. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/20/23 Full Review ronald h I wouldn't normally dignify a film like this with a review, but since I endured it myself, maybe I can save others the trouble. The plot exists only for itself. It's senseless, and I mean senseless. The acting is uniformly bad. The dialogue is uniformly bad. The cinematography is amateurish, with establishing shots of Niagara Falls that look like they came from a different movie. You notice that I've given almost no support for my contentions. That's because it's not worth the trouble. Just take my word for it. This one stinks, even by TV movie standards. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a really suspenseful and exciting film. Definitely worth seeing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is just your afternoon cup of tea. You laze around and watch this movie for the love of matinee. Its a female version of the movie TAKEN. Think about it. And that adds the cream to your tea. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Crapfest (aka Crappalooza) that makes little sense from the beginning. Simply exchange bags in the lobby! Her extreme paranoia is perplexing (caution would've been sufficient), but she manages to create an undefined problem in a self-fulfilling way. This lead female looks like a Bette Midler relation (I love Bette), but this actress has sub-par skills. She cannot move her face much (flat grimace), likely due to Botox or neurological issue; she's fairly expressionless throughout film and it isn't due to the character's pill popping. I'd prefer to see wrinkles and movement, to make the acting look more realistic. The movie is a weird ball of unnerving energy, a horrible plot, cringeworthy dialogue, and inconsistent character motivation or personality (e.g. daughter intensely despises her dad then passionately misses him, which comes across disingenuously). However, the two men who played detectives, the daughter, the father, and the psycho bad guy performed well enough (and their faces moved), but they had little with which to work, since the screenplay was just awful. It's not fun to watch a movie where a fairly frantic woman with flat affect runs around town on a cellphone or two (hilariously grabs a stranger's who also could not act), desperately-dragging-da-doppleganger suitcase. Shots of Niagara Falls and cityscapes were nice enough, but seemed mainly to be slightly mismatched stock footage. While not plentiful, there are certainly better Lifetime/LMN movies out there; look at reviews or patiently (& critically) watch the first 15 minutes. If it's not good or otherwise grabbing ya, move on crouton! I recently watched their movie 'The Perfect Teacher' and it was a decent drama/thriller with a satisfying conclusion; Lifetime is notorious for poor endings, so it's a relief to get decent ones. I can hardly believe that I had ^this^ much to say about the stinker, 'A Mother's Revenge' (which is poorly titled, as there's no "revenge" per se). Apparently, I really needed to vent. :D FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S HOLY...save yourself and skip this movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Plot made no sense at all, just call and exchange bags damn it. Leading lady was horrible, overall just a bad movie Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
