I like Jackass style stunts, and I like theme park history, so I had fun with this movie. It's inarguable that the actual history of the real Action Park is far more interesting than this movie, hell this fictional take doesn't even go into some of the more outrageous points, but this narrative version of the parks final days is still a fun ride led by a surprisingly charismatic Johnny Knoxville.

I love everything about the idea of this which extends to the poster art and what it seems they wanted to do here. Wanting so bad to be a throwback to the seventies when comedies really didn't give a shit combined with a new conduit through which Knoxville and gang could convey their latest high jinks "Action Point" is a no-brainer that should have worked, but it doesn't. Hardly at all. It's rarely funny, there aren't enough stunts, and the ones that do exist within this weak structure only exist to remind us of how great those "Jackass" movies truly were.
