John K Creepy, Kooky, Cheaper and Spooky. Its a shame Paramount cancelled Addams Family 3, and instead we got this. The low budget makes the movie feel depressing and lifeless, the acting is awful (apart from Tim Curry's performance as Gomez), the CGI (even for 1998 standards) looks terrible and there is no plot, just a bunch of storylines that made us wish this was an episode of a TV series. This is the most obvious reason why we haven't got another live-action Addams Family movie since this one. It was only made because of two reasons: 1. It was originally planned as a TV Pilot, which was re-packaged to a Direct-to-Video movie. 2. To make a profit on the Addams Family name. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/08/25 Full Review Danny Addams Family Reunion was absolutely terrible, terrible quality, production design, visual effects, bad acting all of the actors were no where near as good as the two Paramount films from 1991 & 1993 Tim Curry was the highlight of the movie the only good thing about the whole entire film was Tim Curry he was the only good Actor the only reason to ever watch this movie is because of Tim Curry who looks very similar to Raul Julia who passed away in 1994 therefore ending the possibility of a third film by paramount Angelica Huston and Christopher Lloyd were actually offered to reprise their roles or Morticia Addams and Uncle Fester respectively but out of respect for Raul Julia they both declined Addams Family Reunion is the worst out of all the Addams family movies animated series the 1960s tv series. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/13/25 Full Review Audience Member 25 years later and it remains one of my absolute favorite direct-to-video flicks This was my first introduction to the popular family of the 1938 comics and the 1960s black and white tv show which I caught parts of growing up I wasn’t big on the 1990s original but this one I definitely got into cause it was loads of fun to watch A colorful cast from Tim Curry to Daryl Hannah to Ed Bagely, Jr. to the late Estelle Harris to Kevin McCarthy Here the creepy, kooky morbid characters are invited to a family reunion of all things Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Lurch, Thing, and Fester Their grandparents start showing signs of normality and Gomez figures the only cure to to consult a witch doctor (Phillip who secretly wants his relative’s inheritance) Once they arrive at the Primrose Resort chaos ensues as you’d expect affecting all of the relatives There’s so many funny random scenes there’s never a dull moment Tim Curry and Daryl Hannah are the best playing the to-die-for couple, Nicole Fugere manages to pull off a convincing turn as Wednesday too There’s even a young Haylie Duff in here, she’s so unrecognizable A short running time, fun visual gags, and a silly sitcom viewing for the whole family Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/26/23 Full Review Alexandria M Trash. Trash. Trash. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/25/23 Full Review Steve D Can't hold a candle to the first 2 Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
