Oscar J In my opinion, this movie is highly overrated by all the other reviewers. And I mean all, because all of them uniformly rate it 10 stars out of 10. This alone is suspicious, as are the identically high ratings the movie receives on the website IMDB. I wonder whether the people who made this movie solicited and received reviews from their friends and families. There are far better comedies that do not receive such over-the-top reviews: all raves and not a hint of criticism. Yes, the movie is occasionally funny, but rarely in a laugh-out-loud way. It is a bit repetitive, to the point of being slightly boring. I did like some, but not all, of the characters. I especially liked the actors Kiran Deol and Iqbal Theba. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/25 Full Review Mr B Delightful movie! Perfectly silly Shakespearean rom-com. There should be more positive movies like this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/25 Full Review Gabrielle J This is a charming, funny Midsummer's Night Dream-type romp and it made me laugh a lot. It was unexpectedly sweet. There was a great scene in there which I won't describe because I don't want to be a spoiler. But this movie is definitely worth watching. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/10/24 Full Review Joan C Enjoyable! A little kooky, and surprisingly sweet. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/17/24 Full Review Audience Member So if you like the 40-year-old virgin, you’ll enjoy this movie. It’s that type of zany fun flick. The standouts were Chaunté Wayans and Kiran Deol. Chaunté played the role of the “lady’s man” or in this case “lady’s lady”. She and the main character, played by Samba Schutte, really synched well with each other and made for an enjoyable best buds duo. Koran Deol played the rival turned love interest in the movie, which was a cute development for her character. It was nice that the main female leads were a pushback on stereotypical rehashed tropes for women. My biggest issue with the movie though was the pacing. At times some sections were cut too quickly before I understood what was the purpose. Overall it was cute and made me laugh. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/09/24 Full Review Kamron H this movie was effin' hysterical and even teared with a joy little. Samba and the cast have such good comedic timing throughout the movie. definitely get your popcorn ready for this one! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/06/24 Full Review Read all reviews
