DME A What a hilarious and sweet film! We had a great time watching what was definitely one of the funniest films of the year, with a great cast. The film is shot beautifully, and has so many laugh out loud moments I had to bring a muzzle. Fly, don't run, to see this film immediately! The ethics of controlling other people's behavior and how to balance what you want in a relationship with what partners may want invites a lot of discussion. The script has promise, but it feels like a modern veneer on a Weird Science/Revenge of the Nerds '80s-era comedy. It is more diverse, open, and tolerant than those films, but a pass with a sensitivity reader may have been beneficial. The cast has great chemistry though. Samba Schutte is easily the highlight as well as the breakout star of the film, and I hope to see him in more leading roles.
