Monte S Micheline Prelle is a great beauty and a wonderful presence on screen. She's also a revelation because I'd never heard of her till I saw this movie. After recently watching Theatre of Blood, The Last Man on Earth, The Tingler and Adventures of Captain Fabian, I've concluded Vincent Price was a great actor -- a unique combination of menacing and endearing. Over-thinking a film like this perhaps misses the point, but I noticed the script leaves the legal matter involving Capt. Fabian unresolved, with all who could exonerate him unavailable to testify following the climactic scene. Let's just say they all decamped to Baton Rouge.
