The Adventures of Captain Marvel may not be a classic, but it’s representative of the action serials during the Golden Age of Hollywood. Go to Full Review

ishaayu p 10/30/2024 Can't recommend it. Don't understand why movie was so long. Action was terrible. They could not represent Shazam in a good way at all See more Superhero F 08/13/2023 This was just an awesome movie. Really. It was entertaining to watch, the flying wasn't bad. The big bad wasn't even horrible, I liked the scorpion. It was fun to watch every episode and think yourself, "someone here is scorpion and hiding it.. but we don't know". When I watched the final episode and found out who it was I couldn't believe it. I don't wanna spoil who it is but man he was the last one for me to suspect! See more 12/04/2021 Although the synopsis may give a good thing, you have to understand that the series is ultra stretched and long. This makes the series VERY boring but also long and without any logic. And also the plot only allows you one episode, not a 216 minute series in total. But if I can give a plus it's the fx which are a bit B series but can be nice at times, Captain Marvel's costume is very faithful to the one in the comics, even if for the scorpions he had more budget obviously. And even if they have for some reason decided to make Billy an adult. The actor manages to keep the young side of the original character. Even if he has some qualities the show is so boring that it makes it a very bad show. See more 05/14/2020 Entertaining 1941 movie serial about the original Captain Marvel. Pretty good effects for back in the early 40s... the flying sequences are better than what they did in the Superman TV show 10 years later... and the action stuff is good. There are some racial stereotypes, which i suppose is to be expected from that era and it is super long.. taking 3 1/2 hours to watch the whole thing (I watched it on You Tube). This was the first live action super hero adaptation and it still holds up pretty well. See more Read all reviews
