Tomris Laffly RogerEbert.com It’s a movie that pushes us to be better, deeper thinkers and assessors. Rated: 3/4 Sep 28, 2025 Full Review Nick Schager The Daily Beast Affords Julia Roberts with her best part in years as a professor whose role in a burgeoning scandal threatens to expose her deep, dark (related) secrets. She’s not enough, however, to make this wannabe-conversation starter coherent, much less insightful. Sep 27, 2025 Full Review Johnny Oleksinski New York Post It’s mostly entertaining, and its many mysteries captivate even if they don’t collide into a satisfying finale. Rated: 2.5/4 Sep 26, 2025 Full Review Edward Douglas The Weekend Warrior (Substack) Working from such a brilliant script with a cast at the top of their game puts this movie up there with some of Guadagnino’s best. Remy Poorly tied together and bad messaging Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/28/25 Full Review Film L Despite a valiant effort by the actors, too much chaos in the script, direction & music score. I rarely dislike movies but this one was SUPER grim… Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/30/25 Full Review ELIZA T After the Hunt succeeds in holding the audiences’ attention throughout the film. Ivy League academia at its snobbery best. The cast is above average in its cohesiveness and realistic portrayals. This film is character driven in a myriad of complex subplots. Julia Robert is superb as the staunch Yale professor, who bullies her students as well as collects them. Ayo Edebiri engulfs her character with realism and arrogance. Andrew Garfield surprises with delicious energetic aggression that is both frightening and sensual. This film leaves one thinking. A Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/29/25 Full Review Read all reviews
