jonathan m I thought it was very well made considering the time it was created that explains why the cast was chosen they were all very popular at the time in their Fields Stephanie Zam was on Remington Steele as a Detectiveic. The story was changed quite a bit from the book but I understand why why it would have been very expensive to do the book Justice so it was modernised because people really liked that style of movie at the time it was created. it might not hold up very well today but people really did like those Agatha Christie stories and still do to this day, murder She Wrote ran forever not related to Aggie Christie but similar vein to her stories. The only issue I have is one or two of the scenes were filmed on very boring and dull days as you can tell from watching and they probably should have waited till it was nice and sunny. I still believe it was a pilot for a detective show with Zambait. In fact there was a TV show created with Loni Anderson and Linda Carter called Partners in Crime where it paired an intellectual with a man hungry female and they opend a detective agency together very similar to this movie actually when you think about it you don't know what goes on behind the scenes but oh well. I watched the movie I liked it I'm not sure I would watch it again straight away. But it was plesent. Keep in mind the promos for this where "a new movie starring Stephanie Z from Remington Steele and star of The Golden Girls Rue McClanahan" the probably would have got a lot of hype when it was released considering both actresses were on hit shows Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member the movie slow But has a great staff. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member mediocre at best, and they changed the setting as well as the time period and some of the character names. also-as much as I love tony randall, his cross dressing wouldn't have fooled anyone. zimbalist was passable; woodward, over the top. only rue mcclanahan was anything like I envisioned christie's characters. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member like most agatha christie films including this one Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Bland version of a minor Christie novel with only Rue standing out in the cast. The pacing even with the short running time is off and the usually reliable Tony Randall goes way overboard into hamminess. Perhaps another actress in the lead would have helped since Zimbalist is vapid. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member My ALL TIME FAVOURITE movie!! This movie has everything for me; action, adventure, romance, travel, intrigue, a great and strong female lead, and wonderful characters. It is a movie I first saw in my early teens and was such an informative piece in my life (many who have seen this movie might say that the above statement is a tragic insight into my psyche!!) It is wonderfully 80s with an ensemble of amazing actors, and based roughly on what is arguably Agatha Christie's best novel. I love this movie and would recommend it to everyone.
